Russia stated on May 8 that its forces had superior in jap Ukraine, taking villages in two areas, and that it had struck Ukraine’s vitality and army infrastructure in response to assaults on Russian refineries.
Russian missiles and drones struck almost a dozen Ukrainian crucial infrastructure services in a significant airstrike early on May 8, inflicting critical harm at three Soviet-era thermal energy crops, Kyiv officers stated.
Russia used high-precision long-range naval and air-based weapons, hypersonic Kinzhal missile programs and drones to strike vitality services and the military-industrial advanced, Russia’s Defence Ministry stated.
“As a result of the strike, Ukraine’s capabilities for the output of military products, as well as the transfer of Western weapons and military equipment to the line of contact, have been significantly reduced,” the Ministry stated.
It stated the strike was in response to the “attempts of the Kyiv regime to damage Russian energy facilities”.
Along the 1,000 km entrance, Russian forces superior in a number of locations, the Defence Ministry stated.
They took management of the village of Kyslivka in Ukraine’s Kharkiv area and the village of Novokalynove within the Donetsk area, the Ministry stated. Reuters couldn’t independently confirm these advances.
It additionally stated that it had struck Ukrainian ammunition depots and drone workshops.
