‘Just Stop Oil’ activists vandalise Stonehenge

Climate activists of the ‘Just Stop Oil’ group sprayed orange powder on to the stones of Stonehenge, the prehistoric rock monument in Wiltshire, England, on Wednesday. The assault occurred a day earlier than the summer season solstice (June 20) when crowds collect on the website. The monument, thought to have been in-built a number of levels between 3000 BCE and 1500 BCE, was seemingly important, traditionally, as a gathering place for rituals throughout the summer season and winter solstices, because the place of the stones aligns in particular methods with the solar’s trajectory on as of late.
