Cyprus says support ships have turned again from Gaza with over 200 tonnes of undelivered support after Israeli strike

An official in Cyprus says support ships that arrived in Gaza this week will return to the Mediterranean island nation carrying some 240 tonnes of undelivered support after a lethal strike killed 7 support staff.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Theodoros Gotsis stated on Tuesday that round 100 tons of support had been unloaded earlier than World Central Kitchen, a world charity, suspended operations after its staff had been killed by an obvious Israeli strike.

Cyprus has performed a key function in attempting to determine a maritime support hall to Gaza from its port metropolis of Larnaca. Those efforts suffered a serious setback when World Central Kitchen halted operations after the strike.

Cyprus’ Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos stated the charity is suspending its operations in Gaza out of respect for the victims in addition to to overview its safety protocols.
