No change in commerce coverage with India: Pakistan

Pakistan on March 28 clarified that it has no plan to renew commerce relations with India which has been “non-existent” since 2019 after the Indian authorities abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution to revoke the particular standing of Jammu and Kashmir.

The clarification from Pakistan’s Foreign Office comes days after the brand new Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar mentioned in London that Pakistan will significantly take into account restoring commerce ties with India which have remained suspended since August 2019.
