Saudi Arabia executes 3 troopers for ‘high treason’

Saudi Arabia on Saturday executed three troopers for “high treason”, the Defence Ministry mentioned, in a uncommon public announcement that accused them of colluding with an unspecified enemy.

The executions come as a Saudi-led navy marketing campaign intensifies in neighbouring Yemen and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the dominion’s de facto ruler, consolidates his grip on energy.

The troopers had been convicted of “the crime of high treason in cooperation with the enemy” in a approach that threatens the dominion, the Ministry mentioned.

The assertion named the three troopers — Mohammed bin Ahmed, Shaher bin Issa and Hamoud bin Ibrahim — with out figuring out which enemy they had been accused of aiding.
